Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Run a newly established infrastructure team, delivering projects from initial planning and feasibility through to detailed design and construction phases. As project lead, on highway, residential infrastructure, civil and drainage schemes. Plan, design, and run your own projects, manage your own clients, and help to expand the team.
Your New Role
This is a unique opportunity to lead a young team and to develop and expand their capability to deliver infrastructure projects. As Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll play key role, with design and project management responsibility for scheme delivery and your own client relationships. You will have the opportunity to work with the senior management to help shape and grow the civil business, developing a successful infrastructure capability.

Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers, Designers and Technicians with a real collaborative approach. You will be capable of leading on infrastructure design for both technical and non-technical clients. Liaising with clients, key stakeholders, and other professionals you will be fully conversant with design standards. Responsibilities include; ground modelling, surface water and SuDS drainage, foul and surface water flow and network analysis, drainage consents, approvals, and Section 104/106 agreements. Flood risk assessments, highway and junction designs for private and local authority schemes, pavement specification and design, traffic calming measures, cycleway and footway design and enhancements.
Ideally, you’ll be locally based in Cambridgeshire or within sensible commute. With a flexible approach, there is scope for long term home working which would be balanced with time in the office to manage projects and be with the team. The consultancy works closely with their London office, opening further potential for candidates based in Herts, Essex or North London who are willing to commute to Cambridge for at least 3 days a week.
