Join a privately-owned engineering specialist in Cambridge as a Senior CAD Technician and work on a range of historical and modern building structures projects. Working alongside and supporting Engineers, construction detailing, engineering, AutoCAD, photo imaging and site investigation work.
Your New Role
A privately-owned engineering specialist and market leader in innovation in site investigation who have a new requirement for a Senior CAD Technician to support their engineering, investigation and technical teams. Working closely to support Engineers on projects, you will produce engineering and construction details using AutoCAD. In particular, CAD drawings to support site investigation analysis, construction and engineering detailing, reports and building surveys.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior level CAD Technician with civil & structural engineering, construction or a built environment background. Prior experience working on building structures or engineering detailing and layouts is essential. You will be involved with a wide range of historical, modern building projects and other structures across the UK.
The core aspects of work carried out will be predominantly CAD draughting using AutoCAD, with some data and photo imaging. Projects will include existing buildings, buildings undergoing refurbishment & remodelling, and recently constructed for a range of high profile clients.
You will work both in a team environment and independently, supporting our Engineers and Surveyors and other Technicians with delivering project work. Confident in your AutoCAD and draughting ability with an interest in problem solving and engineering projects.
You will live locally, ideally Cambridgeshire based or within sensible commute. A full UK driving licence is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior CAD Technician looking for something different outside the typical consultancy role.
