Property Management Surveyor

We are pleased to be representing a national property consultancy with the recruitment of a Property Management Surveyor. With a diverse client base, they are renowned for their association with the community and range of commercial, residential and retail properties.

Your New Role

Our client is now looking to strengthen their management team with the acquisition of a knowledgeable Property Manager. The successful candidate will be required to manage and deliver a comprehensive management service for a mixed portfolio across Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. Therefore, our client would be interested in speaking with locally based Surveyors with a background within commercial property, looking to further their career.

The role will include; liaise with clients, negotiate and settle terms and conditions, provide advice to changes to the terms, interpret leases, maintaining records, support the contracts manager in the administration of the contract, handling client and tenants enquiries on a daily basis, liaising with solicitors and clients, maintaining databases, contractor appointment and management, administration, and responsibility for repairs and maintenance. You will also be required to provide guidance to other staff members and understand valuations.
Candidates wishing to apply for the position should have relevant experience within commercial property management and a good understanding of the residential and commercial sector. You will also be required to demonstrate your experience towards the management of service charges, relevant health & safety experience, your technical knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation, and your ability to communicate with a diverse range of professionals and trades people. It is highly desirable that you are full member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, MRICS. However, candidates with a strong background within the industry, or candidates with a relevant degree who are progressing through their APC will also be considered.
