From libraries to laboratories, classrooms to hospital buildings, they rely on their team to successfully manage the maintenance of a diverse and challenging portfolio.

With further expansion on the horizon a new opportunity is available for a talented Maintenance Technician to join the team in their Hertfordshire campus. You will become an essential part of the team, tasked with assisting with the day to day delivery of an efficient and effective reactive maintenance service. This will involve liaising regularly with a wide range of internal and external personnel including; academics, contractors and suppliers. You will also assist in planned maintenance, working closely with the Estates Facilities and Projects Teams to ensure a cohesive service is delivered.

As an experienced Technician, you will hold a recognised qualification or apprenticeship in a building services mechanically related discipline. You will have previous experience of building maintenance within either Domestic or Commercial buildings fabric maintenance with strong knowledge of Industrial / domestic electrical / mechanical equipment (boilers, chillers etc.), HVAC systems and electrical systems.

You’ll be joining an established and experienced maintenance team. The successful appointment will be made on the organisation’s salary banding which is expected to start at circa £26k-£27k for 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will also receive 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and concessionary days over the Christmas holiday season.

QUALIFYING QUESTIONS

  • Do you have previous experience in Domestic / Commercial buildings fabric maintenance?
  • Do you have experience maintaining Industrial or domestic electrical / mechanical equipment (boilers, chillers etc.)?
  • Are you experienced in servicing and maintaining HVAC systems?
  • Do you have proven experience of electrical systems?
