Rare opportunity to join a prestigious client who specialise in providing Estates and Maintenance services across a large educational campus. Working as part of an MEP team on a range of electrical lighting and infrastructure improvement projects. Initial 3-6 month contract with potential future work.
Your New Role
You will be working as an Electrical Project Engineer overseeing and supporting their team delivering a range of electrical lighting and infrastructure projects. This will include working on lighting improvements in Educational and Research buildings based on sites across Cambridge.
Initially working on a 3-6 month contract appointment you will oversee the design and delivery of various electrical projects, lighting and maintenance improvements and energy conservation to support the effective operation and efficiency of sites. This could include electrical surveys, defect diagnosis, specification writing and management of improvement projects from feasibility study to completion.
Our client has a particular preference for someone with a M&E background as you could be involved in assisting the Mechanical Engineer on projects. Ideally you will be educated to HNC or degree level in a Building Services, Electrical Engineering or MEP subject and have several years experience working in a similar building or estates management role dealing with a programme of M&E planned and responsive maintenance and improvements.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary estates team initially on a contract basis which could well lead to further opportunities within the same business.
