Would you like to work with an independent practice that can offer the support, development, and training to get you Chartered? Are you interested in residential building structures, traditional housing, unique architectural designs, and small structural projects?
Your New Role
Join a professional and independent consultancy who have a long-term track record of repeat business and clients who trust their reputation, advice, and quality service.
A small practice with a traditional approach to consultancy, a place where you will be encouraged to develop your engineering skills and offered real support and training to achieve Chartered status. The team offers a full civil and structural design service to a wide range of clients, house builders and private individuals – with real variety in work.
Ideally you will already have 1-2 years’ design experience across a range of materials, gained with a UK consultant or specialist housing design team. Recently graduated engineers or engineering technicians, who have a genuine interest in residential projects and load bearing wall design will also be considered.
You will assist senior engineers, undertaking design analysis, structural design and detailing and producing working drawings using AutoCAD. As your experience builds you will have the opportunity to work on projects from inception to completion, attending design meetings and site surveys. Working directly alongside an experienced team who will support your development and look to give you responsibility as your skills grow.
An excellent opportunity for a Graduate Engineer looking to build a long-term design career in Cambridgeshire with a business who have a friendly, team approach to projects.
Ideally you will already be based in the Cambridge area or within sensible commute from Ely, Thetford, Bury St. Edmunds, Huntingdon, North Herts or Essex.
