Your New Role
GBG is a market leader in innovation in site investigation and are a privately-owned engineering specialist. Due to a strong workload and recent contract wins we are now looking to recruit Graduate and Assistant level Building Surveyors to complement their structural testing and site investigation teams. You will be providing core professional building surveying services to our key clients as our workload continues to expand. In particular, defect investigation and analysis, building and measured surveys.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent Building Surveying graduate looking for their first position in industry or an Assistant Building Surveyor keen to be involved in a wide range of historical, modern building projects and other structures across the UK.
The core aspects of work carried out will be predominantly project work, structural building surveys, with some defect analysis, dilapidations /schedule of conditions & refurbishments. Projects will include existing buildings, buildings undergoing refurbishment & re-modelling, and, recently constructed. The role will include some data presentation and report writing.
You we need to live locally enough to Cambridge, so you can work from the office and travel to sites for building surveys as required by the client’s needs typically 3 / 4 days a week, reporting back to the office. You will work with other Building Surveyors, independently and often alongside our investigation team. You will need a practical background, an interest in problem solving and a willingness to work in a site and engineering environment. A full UK driving licence is essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Building Surveyor or Assistant Building Surveyor looking for a role with long-term career development. The salary will reflect your relevant building surveying experience. Transport expenses, accommodation and food allowances will be paid for as required.
