CDM Consultant

Your New Role

This award-winning consultancy delivers CDM / Principal Designer services to clients in the commercial, healthcare, education, and residential sectors. Due to a continuing growth in project work and repeat business they are now looking to appoint an experienced CDM Consultant to join their East Anglia team.

The company is a multidisciplinary consultancy delivering Building Surveying, Architectural Design, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, and Project Management Services in addition to CDM services.  You’ll be supporting the team with specialist CDM knowledge and the ability to deliver compliance on a wide variety of projects. This is a pivotal role during the planning and preparation of the construction phases.

You will need previous experience in CDM 2015 compliance gained on construction projects, along with appropriate Health & Safety qualifications such a NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent). APS membership would be an advantage. 

Your role will involve:

  • Reviewing Construction Phase Plans
  • Collating Pre-construction information
  • Creating Health & Safety Files
  • Reviewing architectural drawings to identify and mitigate safety risks.
  • Proactively advising and assisting clients, principal contractors, and design teams on the viability of projects in specific terms of CDM 2015 Regulations.

With projects happening across the UK, travel required for site visits and inspections will vary from week to week.
