CAD Designer / Technician
CAD Technician or Engineering Designer with experience in the built environment, to work on a variety of building structures and civil engineering projects. See projects from start to construction and be a key part of the in house design and CAD team.
Your New Role
We are representing a design and construction manufacturer that work on a range of building structures and civil engineering projects. They design, build and install a range of retaining walls and structural solutions for a mix of businesses across the region that ensures every day has a different challenge.
With a strong order book, they need a CAD Technician to join their busy team, with two or more years building experience, someone that can produce construction details. You will need to be a safe pair of hands, a team player capable of producing CAD layouts and details for construction using AutoCAD and Revit. Projects vary and you will be working with a range of building contractors, housing developers and engineering consultants.
In addition to your CAD skills, you need an interest in working on construction and building projects. If you like to be involved in projects from start, to build and construction on site, this this could be the CAD role for you.
What you need:
Excellent communication skills, common sense and a background producing working details or construction drawings using AutoCAD. Candidates who have worked in steelwork, manufacturing, building construction, housing and architecture would be of interest. If you have dealt with a product range, had a customer service focus or been responsible for contacting clients for design information that would be useful.
