Your New Role

This company is a leading multi-disciplinary property consultancy who specialise in providing a full spectrum of services across the East of England. They have a diverse and expanding portfolio of clients, securing a strong order book with several new contracts recently being awarded - typically within the educational sector.

Due to this increase in workload, they are now seeking a Building Surveyor/Project Manager to work out of their Essex based office to deliver the professional and first-class service they are known for.

As a building surveyor/project manager, you would be working alongside an experienced team and will initially shadow one of the senior surveyors until you are competent to work independently with little supervision. If you are recently qualified, it would be expected that you are already working more independently.

The work will involve predominately the project management of small refurbishment projects, with some small design and build work using CAD, you will also be carrying out party wall inspections, contract administration duties, specifying works and producing detailed schedules.

To be considered further; it is essential that you have at least 12 months previous project management or building surveying experience within either a private surveying firm, or multi-disciplinary consultancy, be educated with a relevant degree, and working towards your MRICS qualification. Alternatively, you would have recently achieved your full MRICS status.

You should also have the following:
· Full driving licence.
· Be highly organised and self-motivated.
· Possess excellent IT skills.
· Be diligent, professional, thorough, and personable with the ability to work as part of small team.
