Associate Project Manager with PQS bias

Your New Role

An experienced Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor establishes cost certainty and value for money. Highly skilled in providing the best advice on potential risks and liabilities, and the optimisation of recourses to achieve a quality product.

Experience is everything and we represent an independent Building Consultant who value expertise, knowledge and understanding. They are experts in their field. A mix of Chartered Surveyors and Project Managers capable of delivering a first-class and diverse range of services. They now need a Associate Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join the team in North East London / South Essex.

The company is an accredited independent practice, multi disciplined and growing. Established for over 30 years, they offer a comprehensive range of services. Collectively they are experts in; Building Consultancy, Surveying and Project Management. As a result, they attract clients from the Public, Commercial, Residential, Education, Healthcare, Industrial, and Retail sectors.

As an Associate PM / PQS, your knowledge and expertise will ideally span:

  • Project Management
  • Contract Administration
  • General Quantity Surveying (Including Fund monitoring and Cost Planning)
  • Employer’s Agent duties

Projects will vary in size, complexity and type but typically include Corporate/office, residential, education,  Public Sector and healthcare from £1m - £10m

Applications are welcomed from competent Chartered MRICS Project Managers or Quantity Surveyors (PQS) with a solid base of experience for surveying practices and/or multidisciplinary consultancies. You will ideally be MRICS or MAPM qualified with a minimum of five years relevant post-qualification. You should be competent in Pre and Post Contract Project Management (including advice on project plans and procurement, consultant appointments etc) and carrying out Employer’s Agent/Contract Administrator duties.

Immediate start is available, and you will quickly become a key person in a small office and look to take over the lead role from the existing Project Manager/Quantity Surveying Associate who will be retiring. Starting salaries will be commensurate with your qualifications and experience but expected to be in the region of £50,000 - £60,000 with paid membership subscriptions and appropriate benefits packages.
