The Job
As part of the Design Team you will produce 2D and 3D BIM ready models from point cloud data to meet client requirements. Along with your technical capabilities you will be regularly required to communicate with their clients on live projects. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- To work collaboratively and proactively with external modelling suppliers to ensure that they understand and execute every project in the most effective way, encouraging best practice in every fashion including 2D information
- To ensure that all BIM projects deliver a great service by guaranteeing they beat client expectations and meet Company standards - in aspects such as quality, timeliness, good communication and health and safety
- To produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM-ready models from point cloud data measured by our experienced team of in-house surveyors to a high quality and accuracy
- To take the role of Revit Technician for given projects, liaising with project managers, surveyors and modellers to ensure that the most appropriate modelling workflow, techniques and software are utilised across the project team
- To assist in technically delivering projects in the role of co-ordination
- To be proficient in Autocad (at least 1 year experience), Revit (at least 1 year experience) and Navisworks manage (preferable)
- To review project files for compliance and standards/protocols
- To share relevant information accordingly via the company’s Admin Team
- To clean off existing DWG files ready to be used as backgrounds within Revit
- To liaise with other team members to produce good design solution as best practice
- To prepare own discipline models and/or content for BIM coordination meetings
- BIM modelling for specific design discipline
- To adhere to BIM execution plan and BIM project workflow criteria
- To follow BIM content standards and development procedures
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should be proficient in Revit, Autocad and Navisworks. Ideally you will have a background in construction. Other essential skills and qualifications include:
