We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Architectural Technologist/CAD Technician or Architect to join our clients creative, growing practice and be heavily involved in all aspects of delivering outstanding projects, with long term career progression. As an experienced Architectural Technologist, you will be able to demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience across all construction project phases in the commercial and residential sectors, with extensive understanding of UK Building Regulations and excellent technical coordination skills.
The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, with Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite and Revit skills an advantage. You will be able to work thoroughly with the ability to coordinate packages of information from different disciplines.
The company does not have a fixed salary scale and will pay an appropriate and fair market salary based on experience and expertise; circa £33,000-£45,000 per annum.
THE ROLE:
- To prepare detailed technical packages on office fit out, commercial and residential schemes
- To ensure that all designs comply strictly with Building Control, British Standards and all relevant statutory codes
- Assist with all phases of the project including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents
- Working directly with all members of the consultant and construction team
- Liaise with and produce documentation for approval authorities
- To coordinate internally with teams, as well as externally with consultants and suppliers
- To present ideas both internally and externally
- Attending site visits for surveys and meetings where necessary
THE CANDIDATE:
- Excellent understanding of the construction process
- Confident in working directly with clients and attending onsite meetings
- Confident in liaising with outside suppliers, contractors and specialists, project managers and engineers
- Enthusiastic and flexible with a ‘Can-do’ attitude – you will have multiple projects running concurrently
- Excellent personal time management / project management skills
- Have an impeccable attention to detail in your work
- Self-motivated, highly organised, detail-oriented
- A team player who can quickly adapt when necessary and remain calm under pressure
- Strong organisational and communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal
- Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines in a fast-moving environment
