QUEST unveils new technician scholarship for Civil Engineers

The Queen's Jubilee Scholarship Trust, or QUEST, was set up in 1977 to encourage young people to pursue careers in civil engineering and over the years has grown to offer opportunities for financial support and development to existing members.

Today it offers scholarships and awards for students, graduates and professionally qualified members at all levels to develop their knowledge and skills and fulfil their potential. To celebrate their progress they have produced a special publication telling the stories of some of the past and present scholars. Download your free copy of QUEST's 40th anniversary publication.

This week QUEST has announced it has expanded its range of awards with a Technician Plus Scholarship aimed at encouraging technicians to become an Incorporated Engineer (IEng).

QUEST has long offered Technician Scholarships to ICE members studying towards professional qualification as a Technician (EngTech MICE).

They have now added a further award to help members progress to Incorporated Engineer (IEng) - the Technician Plus Scholarship. You can apply for either award up to 17th November 2017.

QUEST Technician Scholarship

A scholarship worth up to £1,500 for students or apprentices on further or higher education courses that could lead to becoming an ICE Technician member (EngTech MICE). For example, BTEC Level 3 Diploma, HNC or Foundation degree.

QUEST Technician Plus Scholarship

The new scholarship is worth up to £1,500 for qualified technicians (EngTech), or those eligible for ICE Technician membership, who want to move to the next stage – towards Incorporated Engineer (IEng). For example, HNC, HND, Bachelor's degree including apprenticeships.
