Trainee Acquisition Surveyor
An opportunity for you to start your career as an Acquisition Surveyor - Trainee level opportunity available.
Your New Role
Want a career as an Acquisition Surveyor for land and property?
Want a financially rewarding career which will be a mix of office and field based?
Want to know how to be considered?
With an excess of work and the business growing at an impressive but sustainable rate, my client has instructed me to find them a great person with strong communication skills, some negotiating experience and the enthusiasm to pursue a career as an Acquisition Surveyor.
The company is a land acquisition and disposal specialist for the telecoms and utilities industries. They are responsible for identifying and acquiring suitable sites for their clients to build on, based on their clients’ briefs and requirements. These can vary in size and type.
As a trainee, you will be fully supported, initially shadowing a couple of the companies more experienced Acquisition Surveyors. As you gain confidence and the needed knowledge to be more independent, you will start to see your own projects come through, eventually working autonomously.
This type of role will involve being out on site and travelling quite a bit, but will also give you the time in the office and you will always be greeted with a smile and a cup of tea (you may need to make your own tea on occasions). It is possible to progress your career quickly and Acquisition Surveyors that I have placed have been able to move up to Senior Acquisition Surveyor within just 2-3 years.
A background in Property, Estates or Property Law is ideal and you must have some experience at negotiating or identifying land/property opportunities. Good education results would be beneficial for your application and a Degree in Estate Management or similar would be ideal. This role would suit a graduate as well (although not essential).
To have a confidential discussion about this role, please contact me (Steve Tomkinson) on the details provided.
