Temporary Facilities Manager
URGENT - An immediate Facilities Manager is required for a mixed portfolio in Cambridge. Can you help us?!
Cambridge City Centre needs you. With an established portfolio consisting of historic buildings and mixed use units, they are needing a competent and confident facilities manager to oversee the deliverance of their services to a high standard.
Sitting in the heart of Cambridgeshire's vibrant City is your next position with this government body. Continuously working with their best intentions they are always on the lookout for new opportunities to support and promote your community and city. For a number of year's, their portfolio has been expanding across the county and now needs you to maintain and respond to the service needs of this historic portfolio.
Your primary focus for this role will be to manage and ensure that all buildings/ facilities are fit for purpose. You will be a direct line of management for a small team of facilities assistants and support staff. Overseeing and prioritising which work is attended to first will be your responsibly, including organising and participating in building repairs, security and ground maintenance.
You will also be in attendance to any civic functions and be on hand to assist with all risk assessments and site checks.
Already experienced as a Facilities Manager you will have an organic flow in achieving your key objectives through continuous communication with your team members. With your comprehensive technical knowledge of both hard and soft service's, you will need little to no support. Taking a hands-on approach with overseeing building repairs, risk assessments, and site checks.
You will need to be able to work pragmatically and cohesively with contractors and other participants contributing to the maintenance and upkeep of the selected portfolio.
Holding one of the following qualifications will put you in front of the competition:
ONC, OND, BTEC, NVQ Lvl 3 or equivalent, or a BIFM accredited qualification.
For this temporary contract, they are offering a competitive hourly rate of up to £15.00, working Monday to Friday 9 till 5, in addition to being eligible to additional benefits.
