Surveying CAD Technician
A great opportunity to start your career in development! Utilise your existing CAD skills and learn new skills, whilst launching a prosperous career in the Planning industry.
Our client is an independent property investment business looking to appoint a Development Coordinator for their expanding Suffolk team. The company has gone from strength to strength, growing 300% in size over the last 2 years alone, managing residential and commercial property investments with a projected value of £240m and is also involved in the promotion of land for over 12,000 dwellings. This is a key new appointment required as part of an expansion plan and a strong pipeline of projects.
You will assist with planning and technical matters from land appraisal and feasibility to the point of disposal of the land or built form. You will also be responsible for drawing up and mapping using AutoCAD for your client’s to easily read.
So who do you need to be for this role? Peter Jackson from Dragons Den? Maybe a young Richard Branson. Well although that wouldn’t hurt; what my client is really looking for is an enthusiastic Junior CAD Technician or Junior Planner to be able to develop and learn new skills and to have a very prosperous career in development.
If you have some good knowledge of AutoCAD, even if more basic drawings, then you could well be of interest. Also if you have some experience in planning, be it Town Planning, Urban Planning or Rural Planning; this may be your next career move. Preferably educated to at least a HNC in an appropriate subject, you will also be able to demonstrate the ability to learn new skills and adapt, taking on more responsibilities as you progress in your new career as a… ‘Development Coordinator’.
