Strategic Land Manager
A connected deal maker, creating the development pipeline to continue our expansion.
Your New Role
Are you a Strategic Land Manager looking to be part of, and belong to, something different? A place where you can pursue your ambitions, perform your best work, use your extensive connections to grow with This Land™ as we undertake a period of significant and rapid expansion together.
This Land™ is fully capitalised, enabling us to provide a de-risked start-up opportunity. We have acquired an impressive portfolio and pipeline of developments in Cambridgeshire. With each mixed-use development fully financed, This Land™ will deliver more than 1,000 new homes and drive significant growth over the short to medium term.
We firmly believe our people are the fuel for growth – they are the innovators and doers. As our Strategic Land Manager, you will play a vital role in the delivery of the development pipeline that will be ready to push the business on after our initial expansion. You will be a highly visible and effective leader to the external agency teams, holding personal responsibility for the land assembly strategy and leading acquisition projects from site identification to legal completion.
You will work with our Development Director to establish a proactive strategy to identify and secure a long-term development pipeline initially in the midland and south of England. This will be for residential, retail, commercial, leisure and industrial developments. You will maintain high-profile relationships with external property contacts, local agents, landowners and developers to ensure you are networked, connected and able to locate and secure off-market land.
As our Strategic Land Manager, you will secure off-market land and property assets for development. Your role will be to analyse opportunities through the local plan system and to overlay them with demographic changes and key transport links. This information will be used to prepare a strategic land acquisition plan which you will be responsible for delivering.
You will have a proven track record of securing strategic sites, sound technical knowledge and an understanding of the UK planning system, with at least five years’ experience gained in a similar role. Our search for the right person will not be limited to just professional qualification as your town planning and development appraisal knowledge, along with your network of connections and people skills are equally as important to us.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Strategic Land Manager looking for a long-term career with a business that will challenge accepted thinking, a market innovator where you can make a real difference.
