Contract opportunity to undertake stock condition surveys on behalf of a highly respected Housing Association.

Your New Role

An award-winning Housing Association needs your help to carry condition surveys on their housing stock. A highly respected social landlord who are proud to provide a first class housing service to the local community. They have steadily expanded and now provide a full management and repair service to large residential portfolio across Norfolk for both generic and sheltered housing.

As part of their decent homes programme, they are now looking to carry out a sample of condition surveys across their housing stock. Data from these surveys will be used to help validate and confirm the general condition of housing stock for their asset register, HHSRS and formulate planned maintenance schedules.

You will be tasked with undertaking individual surveys on flats and houses (both internally and externally) on several schemes throughout Norfolk. You'll help ensure that the organisation has enough data to generate an accurate assessment of their current stock condition. In addition, you'll also carry out some inspections on communal areas and shared facilities to help with the association's maintenance plans. Appointments will be pre-booked and tenants will be advised of your attendance in advance to ensure you are able to achieve this goal.

To help, you'll be provided with mobile working software and a device to collect the survey data. You'll also be provided with existing scheme data as background to help validate previous data collection. You'll be representing the organisation and will naturally liaise with tenants and be on point to direct or refer any queries effectively to the relevant departments within the company. You'll also deal with other team members who will be assisting in the collection and processing of data.

You'll need to have previous experience carrying out stock condition surveys on domestic dwellings and competent dealing with tenants. The surveys will be predominately within Norfolk but can cover further afield, so you will need a full driving licence and your own vehicle.

The contract is expected to start at the beginning of May and run until end October 2018 with a potential extension or possibility for a permanent transfer. Payment will be on an hourly/daily rate basis (expected to be in the £17.00 - £18.00 per hour region) with business travel and associated costs being fully reimbursed. Interviews will be taking place in Norfolk in the next week.
