A leading international consultancy with a worldwide reputation are looking for a dynamic and career driven Building Surveyor to head up a brand new building surveying division in Cambridgeshire. As a company they specialise in providing a full spectrum of services across multiple sectors. They have a diverse and expanding portfolio of clients securing a strong order book contracts with some of the best businesses in the country. As such they have a new opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor .
The work will contain a mixture of work with the majority being a good variety of professional surveying work. In addition, it is expected to include some project management work, typically involving refurbishment and improvement projects ranging between; £150k - £1m in value on; Commercial, residential, social housing and healthcare.
Typically the professional work will be on behalf of a number of high net worth clients and will include.
- Dilapidations & Building defects
- Specifying works and producing detailed schedules
- Perform Contract Administration duties
- Act as an Employer’s Agent when necessary
- Party wall surveys
- Prepare accurate condition and building surveys for planned maintenance purposes
- Project management of small refurbishment projects.
You will be a client facing and proven MRICS Building Surveyor who is cable of working on their own autonomy and comfortable in developing a team of professional surveyors.
You should be familiar working in a corporate environment, but happy being part of a smaller focussed team. You will be able to demonstrate a solid career history in Building Surveying within either a private surveying firm or multi disciplinary consultancy, be (MRICS) qualified, with at least 2 years PQE. However, they would also consider surveying graduates with at least 3 years experience, if they are likely to become chartered in 2016.
You should be experienced writing specifications, producing schedules and reporting property dilapidation's.
You should also have the following: Full driving licence, be highly organised and self motivated, possess excellent IT skills, be diligent, professional, thorough, and personable with the ability to work as part of small team.
The company is only interested in speaking to candidates that want to build a long future with a quality company. Salary packages will depend on experience, but are expected to be up to £50,000 with appropriate benefit package for the level of expertise.
