Your New Role
We are working with a growing property management consultancy that operates through a large network of offices across the Midlands, South, and the East of England. They have a large and diverse property portfolio predominately consisting of residential buildings. They are now looking to recruit a New Business Manager to join their Business Development team in the Cambridge office.
Your position within the company will be an important role; acting as a transition between the Business Development and Estate Management teams. You will ensure the set-up of each new estate is running smoothly, guaranteeing the effective management from the start.
You will ensure the set-up process is managed precisely and promptly, organise the set up of all new estates perfectly, act as the connection between the Business Development Manager and the Estate Manager ensuring they can be focused on their roles from the start, and provide exceptional customer service that will result in new and repeat instructions.
It is important for you to have the ability to understand and analyse financial information, such as budgets to ensure the clients’ service charge is effectively used for the estate’s requirements; you will be required to draft budgets and check apportionments as a key part of the role. You must be able to demonstrate strong customer service and communications skills; correspondence must be a vital part of your role and you will be required to chair large meetings, resolving any disputes should they arise. It is important to gather information and solve problems in this position by making logical decisions to ensure a positive resolution.
To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate 2+ years residential estate management experience. IRPM qualification is highly desirable, along with other property qualifications. You should have strong budget management experience, knowledge of relevant legislation, working knowledge of building management and strong customer relationship management.
Additionally, you should have excellent time management, project management, numeracy skills, and communication skills. Knowledge of the Qube system would be highly advantageous, although strong computer skills are highly important. You will also have exceptional people and commercial skills.
