Junior Technician / Engineer
A small independent consultancy, moving to a larger office are looking for a Junior Engineering CAD Technician or a graduate level Civil or Structural Engineer with a buildings background to further expand their growing team.
Your New Role
The company works on a range of residential new build and refurbishment projects. They are also involved in some mixed use and commercial schemes, projects are typically from £1m - £5m in value. The team is well established with a high level of repeat business from a regular client base built on long term trust. As a small practice, you will benefit from working directly alongside senior engineers who will support your development and look to give you more responsibility for your own projects.
You will already have 1-2 years experience gained with a UK consultancy, design and build contractor or specialist design team, working as a Civil / Structural Engineer at graduate level or alternatively as an Engineering Technician or Junior CAD Technician.
Most importantly, you will be interested in building structures and be willing to work as part of a small design team, providing design and technical drawing support on projects. You will assist senior engineers, undertaking design analysis and producing working drawings using AutoCAD. As your experience builds you will have the opportunity to work on projects from inception to completion, attending design meetings and site surveys.
- ONC/D in Civil / Structural Engineering or similar (HND / degree for Engineers).
- General engineering detailing and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of building regulations
- Must be locally based or have previous connections to the region
