Development Surveyor - Cheffins

Also renowned for our Auctioneering business, we regularly host machinery, fine art, interiors and property auctions.
Your new role
Cheffins have never been busier! and you will become a key part of our new development division. As our Development Surveyor, you will be working alongside our equity Directors to identify and promote sites through the planning process and deal with the disposal of sites once planning permission has been granted. You will also;
- Manage development instructions both in Cambridge and Ely and gain support from our wider network of experienced professionals.
- Join a seasoned team of property and development professionals with further exposure to our Rural, Commercial, and Planning departments.
- Work closely with our residential teams to identify future development opportunities whilst also becoming involved in the marketing of sites.
- Continue to monitor emerging local plan allocations and contacting landowners with development potential.
To excel in this role, you will need at least three years’ experience working in residential land sales with good knowledge of; land promotion, option agreements, and affordable housing development.
This opportunity would suit a General Practice Surveyor or Rural Surveyor with a private practice or house building background and the desire to move into a full-time development role. You will work Monday to Friday and your salary package will be commensurate with your experience - but expected to be between £30,000 - £40,000 with appropriate benefits.
Packages include; car allowance, good holiday entitlement, additional time off over Christmas, and group life cover.
