Your New Role
Our client has recently been acquired by an international business with a billion pound turnover, operating worldwide across multiple offices, who are investing in this Cambridgeshire office to help rapidly expand their team and services. As a group they are one of the leaders in temporary works, roofing structures, scaffolding, event seating, and act as lead designers, manufacturers and suppliers of construction solutions.
You will be part of a small in house design team that support existing and group wide clients on exciting range of projects both in the UK and across Europe. In addition to supporting the companies own products the team operate a temporary works design service to main contractors, specialist construction companies and directly to specialist event, concert, seating and stage companies.
The role offers a real variety in projects and the chance to growth and be part of an expanding business that has had significant investment. Ideally you will be a degree qualified Structural Design Engineer or Design Engineer with a background gained in steel and or aluminium design with firsthand experience of design standards.
- Degree or HND in structural engineering or similar
- AutoCAD 2D and/or 3D
- Design experience in Construction / Scaffolding / Steelwork or Temporary Works
- Familiar with frame analyses, wind and imposed load requirements
- Willing to work as part of a small team
You will be joining a team that has a real mix of projects, including major events, concerts and sports. Depending on your experience the position comes with a generous holiday allowance, pension, mobile phone, health care option and a salary in the range £37,500 - £45,000.
