CAD Technician / Technical Surveyor
Are you a CAD Technician looking for something different, with involvement on site and in the design office? Are you someone that naturally just gets things done? Do you like to see projects from CAD right through to construction?
Your New Role
You will be joining a successful and expanding design and construction manufacturer that work on a range of bespoke glazing products. Working on many high end and projects that have gained national coverage, they design, supply and project manage the installation of bespoke doors, windows and roof lighting products. Working with a real mix of clients and with an in-house retail, technical and sales team every day has a different challenge.
Ideally you will be a CAD Technician or Technical Surveyor with an engineering, construction or architecture background. You will play an important role, working alongside other surveyors and technical staff, supporting the growing surveying demand from their Cambridgeshire office. The position offers a real variety; you will be involved in producing 2D drawings using AutoCAD, writing reports, visiting the client’s construction sites and private homes to carry out installation surveys for the product range and dealing with in house sales and retail teams.
Training can be provided but key experience includes:
- AutoCAD 2D ideally 2013 edition or later
- Previous experience working as a CAD Technician or Surveyor within Architecture, Construction, Engineering or with a specialist Product Manufacturer
- A technical mind and the willingness to work on site
- An understanding of building construction and solving site problems
- Excellent team player, likeable character and good communicator
- Locally based and willing to work on site as required.
The role offers a competitive salary to reflect your experience circa £23,000 - £30,000, the use of a company vehicle for all site surveys and other benefits including healthcare.
