As this is due to expansion, my client has instructed me to find them the best Building Surveyor, either Graduates with a couple of years experience, recently Chartered Building Surveyors or Associate RICS (AssocRICS) with bags of experience and wisdom. The most important thing is the amount of varied experience.
No two days will be the same. One day you might be carrying out stock condition surveys on a multi-story block of flats, the next may be defect analysis for a retail property, dilapidations for some commercial offices or party walls etc. issues for private residential. Some small projects work (planned maintenance/refurbishments/extensions) experience could also be beneficial but not essential.
So what’s in it for you? A competitive remuneration with a basic around £32,000 - £50,000 (dependent on level/Chartered status), a car allowance, healthy bonus and other benefits.
