Your New Role
This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving commercial property investment company. They are looking to strengthen their in-house property team by appointing a Building Surveyor to focus on a prestigious portfolio of tenanted commercial properties.
Applications are invited from either MRICS or MCIOB Building Surveyors with proven experience in the commercial property sector.
It’s an ideal role for surveyors who enjoy meeting with business and property professionals and can negotiate as the client’s representative.
To succeed in this role, you will also contribute to asset development and maintenance of the portfolio, working in conjunction with in-house teams and external project teams. The company plans to diversify the portfolio with further retail, leisure, and residential apartment block acquisitions.
The Building Surveyor will take on the following key responsibilities:
- Dilapidation negotiations on behalf of the Landlord
- Building pathology and remediation
- Specification and brief preparation
- Contract Administration
- Ability to assess design proposals critically and constructively
- Party Walls and neighbourly matters
- Experience of processing Reinstatement Cost Assessments
- Experience of cost monitoring and quality inspections
