Assistant Project Surveyor / EA

We are interested in recruiting an Assistant Project Surveyor for a leading consultancy who are experiencing further growth to their Cambridgeshire team.
This opportunity is with a multi disciplinary lead consultant who provide a "one stop shop" of services to wide range of high profile clients across multiple sectors including; New build residential, Development, Social housing, Commercial, Educational, Healthcare, Retail and Defence.
Due continued success, they are now in the position to grow this specialist team and now have the rare opportunity for an career driven Assistant Project Surveyor / Employers Agent.
As part of the projects team, you will be working in conjunction with a team of commercial professionals acting on behalf of several key clients as either the Lead Consultant or Cost Consultant, providing support on contract administration (typically JCT) and Project Coordination/Management.
In addition you will also provide support with a number of other tasks, such as;
- Involvement in the full tender process, from draft through to review and award.
- Reviewing the progress of project works and preparing reports for the client.
- Validating or certifying payments
- Considering claims
- Monitoring commissioning and inspections
- Arranging handover and certifying completion
- Dealing with defects and issuing certificates of making good
- Agreeing final accounts.
You will be a graduate with a construction related degree, a cost management background and preferably some previous Employers Agent experience.
In addition, you should have at least 5 years experience with either either a construction firm or consultancy. This could be either part time whilst completing your degree, or 5 years post qualification. Unfortunately we are unable to consider graduates with little or no work experience.
You should also be comfortable in a client facing capacity, commercially aware with the ability to work in a fast moving and demanding environment.
Salary packages will depend on your previous level of experience but are expected to be in the region of £28,000 to £35,000 with appropriate benefit package for the level of expertise.
