Two of Suffolk's leading architectural practices have positions available for junior/ graduate architectural technicians/ technologists.


The Company

Firstly; a large award-winning multi-disciplinary architectural practice, with a variety of upcoming projects; from social and open-housing masterplan’s (50-200 units) through to care facilities and industrial complexes for corporate clients. Well suited for an individual seeking project sector variety whilst working alongside a team of senior architects, technicians, civil engineers, surveyors and interior designers.

The second; A smaller award-winning architectural practice with a concrete reputation for producing high-end residential new builds; ranging from 7-8 bedroom properties through to bespoke development sites (10-25 high-end units). Working for smaller practices has its perks; you gain additional project exposure, deal directly with clients and work from RIBA stage 3 through to project completion.

Job Description

You will be working from technical design stage through to completion on a variety of projects. Creating planning applications, working drawing and construction packages for a list of high-end clientele.

Both practices have strong local public transport links, thus it is not essential for candidates to have access to a car.

Essential skills

  • A BSc (Hons) Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent – Minimum 2:1 (expected/ achieved)
  • Ability to work in a full-time, permanent position (37.5 hours per week)
  • Strong AutoCAD &/or Revit skills
  • Strong communication skills

Desirable skills

Applicants that can demonstrate previous case studies within the residential sector, or are seeking a position that will provide residential project exposure are urged to apply, however, this is not essential and all applications will be considered on equal merit.
